Standard Association of Persons (AOPs) are taxed at a maximum rate of 45% for income exceeding Rs. 5.6 Million. However, professional firms (such as Law or Accounting firms) that are legally prohibited from incorporating as a company enjoy a capped maximum tax rate of 40% under the 2025-26 Finance Act.

A surcharge is applicable to all Individuals and AOPs when their taxable income exceeds Rs. 10 Million in a single tax year. This surcharge is calculated as 10% of the total income tax payable, significantly impacting the final liability for high earners.
